Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)

This course is designed to prepare students to successfully pass the National Healthcareer Association exam and to become a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant.

The Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) program offers our students both theoretical and practical training through hands-on experience. Classes meet one (1) day a week, for six (6) hours. Generally, the classes are held on Saturdays from 8a-2p. The duration of the course is sixteen (16) weeks and includes preparation for the certification examination administered by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).   In addition to 96 hours in the classroom, and homework study time, our students are eligible to complete an 80-clock-hour externship experience. The externship serves as working experience, as well as a reference for future employment.  Students are also eligible to take exams to have certifications as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) and EKG Technician (CET) after the course is complete.

This 16-week program will prepare you for a career in the exciting field of Medical Assisting.
